We, the team of 42he, are big fans of a healthy work-life balance and having meals together with colleagues, so we close CentralStationCRM from now on every day from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. for a lunch break.
While large German companies count on not sending e-mails after work, 42he already thinks one step further. We have noticed the importance of relaxation breaks during working hours and in particular of having lunch together with your colleagues. This increases well-being and improves the working atmosphere. A mandatory lunch break is very rare especially in small businesses. That is why we have decided to close CentralStationCRM for us and every user daily from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m.
For the technical realization we used a mechanism developed by the online shop Antipreneur.de: the roller shutter. It restricts the access to the web software to the opening times and provides the desired siesta. And not only you can enjoy your deserved break, your customers won’t be called away from the dining table to the phone or the PC during those two hours as well. Such a snowball effect by a small technical measure is something developers like us obviously love.
